Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: {26-NOV-2026} Welcome to Shay Photography (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of https://shayphotostudio.com/ (“Website”) and all photography and videography services provided by Shay Photography. By accessing our website or booking our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our website or services.
  1. About Shay Photography
Shay Photography is a Fort Lauderdale–based photography and videography studio specializing in weddings, elopements, events, lifestyle sessions, and commercial projects. With over 18 years of full-time experience and more than 2,000 weddings photographed, we provide professional, creative, and authentic photo/video services.
  1. Booking & Payments
2.1 Booking Process To reserve a date, clients must:
  1. Contact us to confirm availability.
  2. Sign a photography/videography service agreement.
  3. Pay a deposit or retainer as specified in the service contract.
Dates cannot be held without a signed contract and required payment. 2.2 Pricing Current pricing is listed on the website, including:
  • Wedding Packages
  • Hourly Rates (starting at $375 for the first hour)
  • Add-ons & custom options
All prices are subject to change at any time. Pricing is locked only after a contract is signed. 2.3 Payments Payments may be made electronically via approved methods described in your invoice or contract. Full payment timelines are outlined in the service agreement. 2.4 Cancellations & Rescheduling Cancellations are subject to the terms in your signed service contract. Retainers are generally non-refundable, as they secure your event date and prevent others from booking. Rescheduling due to emergencies, weather, or unforeseen circumstances will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
  1. Services Provided
We offer a variety of photography and videography services, including but not limited to:
  • Weddings & elopements
  • Engagement sessions
  • Family & portrait sessions
  • Corporate events
  • Lifestyle & editorial shoots
  • Custom photo/video packages
The scope of each project is defined in your individual contract.
  1. Image Rights & Usage
4.1 Client Usage Rights Clients receive high-resolution, professionally edited images delivered via an online gallery unless otherwise agreed. Clients receive personal usage rights, including:
  • Downloading
  • Sharing on social media
  • Printing for personal use
Commercial licensing must be requested separately. 4.2 Photographer Copyright Under U.S. copyright law, Shay Photography retains full copyright to all images and videos captured unless explicitly transferred in writing. Shay Photography may:
  • Display work on the website
  • Share on social media
  • Use in promotional materials
  • Include in portfolios or advertisements
Clients who prefer privacy may request a no-share clause prior to the event. Additional fees may apply.
  1. Delivery of Images & Turnaround Time
Delivery timelines vary by service and season. Standard timelines include:
  • Wedding photos: 4–12 weeks
  • Wedding videos: 8–16 weeks
  • Portrait sessions: 1–4 weeks
Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee. Online galleries remain active for a minimum of 90 days. Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their images.
  1. Event Coverage & Creative Control
6.1 Creative Approach Shay Photography specializes in candid, natural, emotion-focused storytelling. By booking us, you acknowledge and accept our creative style. 6.2 Backup & Equipment We use professional-grade cameras, lighting, and backup equipment. While rare, equipment failure, weather, or unforeseen conditions may impact final results. We will take reasonable measures to avoid such issues. 6.3 Cooperation & Scheduling Clients agree to provide reasonable cooperation, adhere to timelines, and ensure all parties necessary for photographs are present and prepared. Failure to do so may reduce the quality or quantity of images, for which Shay Photography is not responsible.
  1. Travel & Accommodation
Travel fees may apply for events outside the Fort Lauderdale area. For destination weddings or distant locations, clients may be responsible for:
  • Airfare
  • Lodging
  • Transportation
  • Meals
All travel arrangements will be disclosed and agreed upon in advance.
  1. Weather, Outdoor Conditions & Force Majeure
Shay Photography will make every effort to perform services regardless of weather or unforeseen circumstances. However, events outside our control—such as severe weather, illness, accidents, natural disasters, or venue restrictions—may impact coverage. If such events occur, both parties will work together to find a reasonable solution.
  1. Refunds & Guarantees
Because photography is a creative service, results vary based on location, lighting, cooperation, and other factors. We do not guarantee:
  • A specific number of images
  • Certain poses or moments
  • Exact replication of inspiration photos
Refunds are only issued in accordance with the signed service contract.
  1. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shay Photography’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the contracted services. We are not responsible for:
  • Lost or damaged photos due to client neglect (e.g., failure to download backups)
  • Injuries or accidents occurring during the event
  • Delays caused by third-party vendors or venue rules
  1. Website Use & Intellectual Property
All content on the website—including text, images, graphics, logos, and designs—is the property of Shay Photography and protected by copyright law. Users may not:
  • Copy or redistribute website content
  • Use images without written permission
  • Reproduce site materials for commercial purposes
Unauthorized use may result in legal action.
  1. Privacy & Data Use
Any personal information submitted through this website is handled according to our Privacy Policy (available upon request or provided separately). We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except as required to provide contracted services.
  1. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
